What began as a visual journal during vet school has grown into a platform for community, resources, and education. Dr. Kristi prioritizes sharing top pet care knowledge and products, connecting with fellow professionals, and educating pet parents about animal health and wellness.

Dr. Walker is a graduate from Texas A&M University–gig ‘em, Aggies! He opened Apollo Veterinary in 2021, named after his beloved Border Collie and his grandfather. He also adopted a cat named Pegasus (Peggy) with cerebellar hypoplasia–she lives in the clinic now, and goes everywhere with him! Dr. Walker loves surgery, dermatology, and growing Apollo Vet to be the best it can be. He’s a passionate entrepreneur looking to make a positive impact on his clients, employees, and patients!

Her passion for animal welfare and a strong desire to help others have been instrumental in her successful career. Dr. Indya Woods, a 2022 graduate of Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, is a small animal relief veterinarian based in Houston, Texas. Passionate about mentorship and service, she founded the Auburn University Veterinary Intensive Program and volunteers to improve veterinary care access for underserved communities and support marine mammal conservation. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, practicing pilates, and spending time with her miniature dachshunds, Rogue and Arya.
Laura Robinson, DVM
Laura is a small animal veterinarian based in San Diego who shares pet health education with a side of veterinary reality and humor. She is passionate about helping pet parents better understand their animals while highlighting the fun, chaotic, and very human side of life in the clinic. Her interests focus especially on pet nutrition, preventative medicine, and proactive care—guiding clients on how to keep their pets as healthy as possible. Peter Carlos, a Registered Veterinary Technician, began his career at Petco, blending product knowledge with animal care before earning his degree from Carrington College in 2013. Now specializing in surgery, he has mastered routine and advanced procedures like orthopedics. During the pandemic, Peter launched a social media platform to educate the public about veterinary medicine and inspire professionals and students in the field.

Dr. Sydney Pokard, is a veterinarian from Orange County, California, who specializes in small animals, exotics, and wildlife, with experience both locally and internationally. Julia Miller , DVM, DACVD
Dr. Julia is an upstate NY native and a Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine graduate. She completed a large animal rotating internship at the University of Georgia and then worked as a mixed small and large animal general practitioner for several years before returning to Cornell to complete her dermatology residency. After completing her residency, Dr. Julia stayed on at Cornell as an assistant clinical professor in the section of Dermatology where she was awarded the Zoetis Distinguished Teacher Award. She is now enjoying private practice life surrounded by horses and bourbon in beautiful Louisville KY. Dr. Julia has a special interest in the management of chronic otitis externa, and all things related to large animal skin disease (especially horses).Outside of work, Dr. Julia enjoys her lovable bully dogs, riding horses, and singing whenever possible. She also loves providing continuing education to veterinarians and owners because derm is absolutely the best!

Dr. Alex Sigmund, “The Vet Eye Guy,” is a board-certified veterinary ophthalmologist and founder of Insight Veterinary Eye Care, LLC, which specializes in continuing education and teleconsultation services. With a veterinary degree from the University of Georgia and a residency in comparative veterinary ophthalmology, Dr. Sigmund aims to make ophthalmology accessible to all veterinarians. He engages with owners and vets through social media and continuing education, emphasizing the importance of ophthalmology basics for better patient care.
Ashley Bourgeois, DVM, DACVD
Dr. Ashley Bourgeois, a board-certified veterinary dermatologist, specializes in autoimmune skin diseases, allergies, cytology, and otology. A 2010 graduate of the University of Missouri, she became a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology in 2014 after completing her residency at Animal Dermatology Clinic. Based in Portland, Oregon, Dr. Bourgeois educates veterinarians through her podcast, “The Derm Vet,” and lectures, while enjoying outdoor activities with her family and their allergic rescue dog.
